Blackened sky
Cold damp breeze
My heart sunk like a stone
A dragon's tongue
and yellow eyes
Before it I stood alone
Without a sword
Or a place to hide
My nakedness was revealed
what terrible fate
what ghastly end
my courage would be annealed
between me and it
a whiskers breadth
and the confidence in my God
That I alone
And my true heart
Would get the victory nod
Sickness is
Like cancerous fright
The serpent that swallows life
But conquer fear
And live in faith
In death is found no strife
Trust the Son
the warming breeze
I leave this life alone
I hold my tongue
Close my eyes
Yes… I’m going home
