Memorial Day

Forever pure

They stood with us against the wind
Their hope and dreams secure
Youthful minds all filled with hopes
Their hearts with faith so pure

Never to grow old again
remembered forever in their youth
You noble soldiers of selflessness
Of courage you are the proof

Quiet now you rest in peace
Voices never again to be heard
For in their tombs they speak no more
Only in memories can we hear their words

Humbly now I sing your praise,
Soldiers of every war
Men and women who gave it all
In lands both near and far

Salute you all for noble deeds
We proudly declare respect
Where hero’s acts have etched our hearts
Sacrifice given, without regret

They stood with us against the wind
Their hopes and dreams secure
Youthful minds all filled with hope
Their deeds forever pure
